Your Guide to Making Aliyah & Life in Israel

We are pleased to invite you to our upcoming community event and Maagalot Workshop at the Olim Services Center, where we will host a special lecture focused on understanding the benefits, rights, and services available to Olim.

During this informative session, Emily Lightstone, Aliyah Coordinator at the Jerusalem Municipality, will provide a comprehensive overview of the benefits an Oleh is entitled to, their legal rights, and the wide range of services offered through the municipal office. The lecture is designed to offer clarity, practical guidance, and helpful resources for those who have made Aliyah, are in the process, or are simply exploring the possibility.

In addition to the lecture, the event will include short, one-on-one personal consultations with Emily, providing attendees the opportunity to ask individual questions and receive tailored guidance.

During the one-on-one time and afterwards, Gila Ashkenazy and Sara Rosenthal (Maagalot) will be running a workshop with fun activities and an introductory session on Stuckness to introduce the follow on circle of “Unstuck” which will the series that as a whole is about you — wherever you are and whatever you're working through.

Supper will be provided for the event

We would like to clarify that it is by no means Maagalot’s mission or purpose to encourage Aliyah. Rather, we are collaborating with Emily in order to raise awareness about the benefits, rights, and services available to those who choose to make Aliyah or are considering it or who are on an A1 visa.

Our goal is to ensure that our community members are informed and empowered to make decisions with accurate and accessible information.

About Emily Lightstone

Emily Lightstone, Aliyah Coordinator at the Jerusalem Municipality, made Aliyah 17 years ago from NY. As an Aliyah coordinator, she works with Olim both pre- and post-Aliyah. It is her shlichut to make life in Jerusalem as smooth as possible. Emily lives in Jerusalem with her husband and three children.

** Even if you’ve already made Aliyah, Emily will still be available to speak about rights and a

number of other useful resources for Olot. After her presentation, Gila and Sara will continue

with a workshop.

Cost: 20 NIS suggested donation

A light supper is included in the evening.
